3-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Murdered By Suspected Ritualists

A heartbreaking incident has shaken Ningi Local Government Area in Bauchi State as suspected ritualists are believed to have brutally murdered a 3-year-old girl, Asiya Zakari Ya’u, and removed several sensitive body parts, including her eyes and vagina.

The young girl, who had been missing for two days, was tragically discovered lifeless and mutilated in Ningi township, sparking shock and outrage among residents.

Village sources revealed that Almajiri boys from a nearby Qur’anic school alerted the girl’s parents, who hail from Sabuwar Denawa, about the gruesome discovery.

Following the report, the police in Ningi were promptly informed, with the body found near a graveyard by Malam Saleh.

The Bauchi State Police Command’s spokesperson, Ahmed Wakili, confirmed the incident, stating that a medical examination at the hospital confirmed the girl’s passing, after which her remains were handed over to her family for burial.

Awaiting the postmortem results to ascertain the exact cause of death, Wakili Ahmed assured that the Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Mohammed, has ordered a comprehensive investigation to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice. The community mourns the loss of young Asiya and demands swift action to ensure such atrocities are not repeated.
