Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has launched a wide-ranging empowerment program initiated by Sen. Mohammed Tahir Monguno, representing Borno North Senatorial District, in Monguno town on Thursday.

The initiative saw the distribution of 10 Lexus GX 470 SUVs to All Progressives Congress (APC) local government chairmen and stakeholders, alongside 12 mini pickup trucks (Hijet) provided to youths in the area to promote economic activities.

In addition, Zulum also inaugurated another empowerment initiative organized by Monguno in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and the Federal College of Horticulture, Gombe. The initiative trained 400 constituents on modern farming techniques and provided each participant with ₦100,000 as a starter package, amounting to a total of ₦40 million disbursed.
