Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has approved the appointment of Mr. Jonathan Agbu, the Executive Secretary of the Taraba Investment Promotion Agency, to oversee the affairs of Taraba Investment and Properties Limited.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Chief (Barr.) Gebon Timothy Kạtaps.
The statement noted that following the development, the former Acting Managing Director of the company, Mr. Polycarp Yamusa, is to return to his substantive role as General Manager (Properties).
According to the SSG, the appointment takes immediate effect.
Mr. Agbu, prior to his new role, has been instrumental in driving investment initiatives for the state through the Taraba Investment Promotion Agency, which is responsible for facilitating economic development and investor engagement.
The governor’s decision is expected to further streamline coordination between investment promotion efforts and state-owned commercial assets.
