
No fewer than 11 ships laden with aviation fuel, petrol and other cargoes have arrived at the Lekki, Tin-Can Island and Apapa ports in Lagos and are awaiting discharge.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) disclosed this in its publication, Shipping Position, made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Lagos.
According to the document, the vessels are carrying crude oil, bulk urea, petrol, diesel and bulk gas.
The NPA also said that 31 additional ships loaded with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive at the Apapa, Lekki and Tin-Can Island ports between Jan. 21 and Jan. 31.
It explained that the expected ships would convey petrol, gasoline, general cargo, crude oil, empty containers, bulk sugar, condensate, bulk urea, bulk gypsum and containers with assorted goods.
The authority further stated that 15 other ships were currently at the ports discharging containers, diesel, gypsum, bulk salt, bulk sugar, bulk pallets, bulk oil, bulk urea and crude oil.
