40,000 PAWECA Beneficiaries to Receive Funds End of August

The Adamawa State Government says 40,000 beneficiaries of the Poverty Alleviation and Women Empowerment Care Agency (PAWECA) fund are set to receive their disbursements by the end of August.

The agency said on Tuesday in Yola that the payment would be carried out as scheduled, by the grace of God.

It added that over 6,000 shortlisted candidates for Batch 1 of the Technical Skills Acquisition PAWECA entrance examinations were preparing to commence training in various centres across the state.

According to the agency, Batch 2 trainees will also join the programme at a later date.

It said the initiatives were part of government’s efforts to boost skills development, promote self-reliance and reduce poverty in the state.
