The Registrar of the Federal College of Education, Gwoza, Mr Babagana Tahiru, has congratulated three senior academics of the University of Maiduguri on their recent elevation to the rank of Professor Emeritus.
Those honoured by the UNIMAID Senate include Professor Emeritus Shettima Umara Bulakarima, Professor Emeritus Haruna Dlakwa and Professor Emeritus Bukar Bababe.
Tahiru, in a statement on Sunday, described the recognition as “well-deserved and inspiring,” noting that the scholars had made remarkable contributions to academic excellence, research development and national intellectual advancement.
He said their decades of work had shaped generations of students and strengthened knowledge production across the country and beyond.
“I wish our beloved brothers, Professors Bulakarima, H. Dlakwa and Bababe, continued success, good health and greater accomplishments in their future endeavours,” the Registrar added.
