A full renewable energy system has been delivered to the Adamawa Digital Academy, marking a significant step toward ensuring uninterrupted power supply at the state’s premier digital training centre.
The arrival of the system follows the approval of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who has continued to prioritise technological advancement, youth development, and modernisation of the state’s educational infrastructure.
The newly delivered facility consists of high-capacity solar panels, inverters, lithium batteries and an energy-management unit designed to guarantee steady electricity for ICT training halls, software development labs, digital classrooms and administrative offices.
According to officials, the renewable energy installation will drastically enhance the academy’s efficiency by reducing power disruptions that previously hindered training and operations. It is also expected to cut long-term operational costs while strengthening the institution’s capacity to deliver competitive digital skills programmes.
Stakeholders described the development as a milestone in Governor Fintiri’s efforts to position Adamawa as an emerging technological hub in the North-East. They noted that uninterrupted power supply would boost learning outcomes and make the academy a more reliable centre for digital innovation and youth empowerment.
Installation of the system is expected to commence immediately, with technical teams already on site to begin integration and testing.
