
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has approved key appointments for the newly established College of Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Studies, Gulak, to ensure its smooth takeoff.
A statement issued on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, said Dr. Yusufu Gambo has been appointed Acting Rector of the college.
Other principal officers appointed in acting capacity include Amina Barkindo as Librarian, Isa Ahmed as Bursar, and Joy Tarfa as Registrar. Their appointments take immediate effect.
Wonosikou said the governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to work collaboratively to develop the institution into a centre of excellence for technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
According to the statement, the governor noted that the college is expected to play a pivotal role in driving economic growth by equipping young people with practical skills relevant to the modern economy.
“He emphasized that the College of Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Studies, Gulak, will provide training and skills development programmes in various fields to prepare students for emerging opportunities,” the statement added.
Governor Fintiri expressed confidence that the newly appointed management team has the capacity to lay a strong foundation for the institution and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
