The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State, Hon. Hamza Alhaji Bello, on Tuesday presided over a meeting of the State Executive Committee (SEC) with all 21 local government chairmen in attendance.
In a statement issued after the meeting in Yola, Bello commended delegates and supporters from Adamawa who travelled to Ibadan for the recently concluded PDP National Convention. He said the delegates demonstrated discipline and unity throughout the exercise.
Bello said he monitored the movement and participation of all Adamawa delegates at the convention “down to the last person” to ensure full representation and safe return.
According to him, members of the party across the state must intensify grassroots mobilisation as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
He acknowledged ongoing disagreements at the national level but described them as normal occurrences in a growing political organisation.
“Internal squabbles are part of a growing party. PDP has been through worse and emerged stronger. We will come out of this more united and ready to reclaim power at both the national and state levels come 2027,” he said.
The chairman reiterated the need for unity, discipline and sustained engagement across all levels of the party structure to ensure improved performance in future elections.
Party officials present at the meeting expressed confidence in the state leadership and pledged commitment to ongoing mobilisation efforts.
