The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has called on all certified teachers across the country to update their professional records and validate their certificate information on the council’s official portal.
The directive, issued on Monday, aims to ensure that teachers’ registration status remains current and that their details are accurately reflected in the national teachers’ database.
According to TRCN, the update is necessary to guarantee uninterrupted access to its services, including verification support and future professional development opportunities.
The council outlined the steps for the update process as follows:
1. Visit http://www.trcn.gov.ng
2. Click on “Apply as a Teacher”
3. Create an account using a valid email address
4. Update profile information and verify the TRCN certificate and licence.
TRCN advised all registered teachers to complete the process promptly to ensure full compliance and maintain the professional standards expected within the education sector.
The council reiterated its commitment to strengthening the quality of teaching in Nigeria by keeping the national database accurate and up to date.
