Taraba Moves To Revive Heritage With 2025 Cultural Day

Taraba State Government has commenced engagements toward the successful hosting of the 2025 Taraba Cultural Day aimed at promoting unity and reviving the state’s cultural heritage.

This followed a visit by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Arts and Culture, Hon. Tubasen Daniel Vyonku, to the Chairman, Taraba Youths Development Agency (TYDA), Hon. Amb. Gara Nongha, at his office in Jalingo.

A statement issued on Monday by the Media Team, Office of the Special Assistant on Arts and Culture, said the meeting was part of efforts to secure endorsement and strengthen collaboration with youth groups ahead of the cultural event.

It said the initiative was in line with Gov. Agbu Kefas’ “Moving Forward’’ agenda, which focuses on youth participation, cultural promotion and social cohesion.

According to the statement, Nongha, described as a key figure in youth development activities in the state, expressed support for the forthcoming event and endorsed the movement for “One United Taraba Through Culture and Heritage.’’

It quoted Nongha as saying that the programme would further strengthen unity among the diverse ethnic groups in the state and create opportunities for young people to showcase their creative potential.

The statement called on individuals, organisations and stakeholders to support the 2025 Taraba Cultural Day through sponsorships and partnerships.
