PDP Releases Nomination Fees For 2026 Adamawa LG Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State has announced the commencement of the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms for aspirants seeking to contest the 2026 Local Government Council elections.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the State Organising Secretary of the party, Hon. Titus Samaila.

According to the statement, aspirants for the chairmanship seats are expected to pay ₦10 million for the nomination form and ₦1 million for the expression of interest form.

For councillorship positions, the nomination form costs ₦200,000, while the expression of interest form is fixed at ₦100,000.

The party said it had retained its inclusive approach, offering a 50 per cent discount on nomination forms for women and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). However, the expression of interest fee remains ₦100,000 for all categories of aspirants.

The PDP also directed that all aspirants must obtain clearance from their respective Local Government Area chairmen of the party before making any payments.

It emphasised that all payments should be made strictly to the official PDP account as indicated in the circular.

“With this announcement, the journey to 2026 begins. PDP is organised, transparent and moving ahead with structure and fairness,” the statement added.

The Adamawa PDP said the release of the form fees signalled the start of preparations for the 2026 election cycle across the 21 LGAs in the state.
