Borno Scholarships Board Invites Applications for Aviation Degree Programmes

The Borno State Scholarships Board has called on interested and qualified indigenes of the state to submit applications for sponsorship into aviation degree programmes for the 2025 academic cycle.

In a public announcement issued in Maiduguri, the Board said the opportunity is open to candidates seeking to study Aircraft Piloting and Aircraft Engineering in accredited institutions.

It said applicants must present photocopies of their SSCE results with credit passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and at least one of Geography, Biology, Agriculture, Further Mathematics or Technical Drawing.

Other documents required include an Indigene Certificate, Birth Certificate, Primary School Certificate, and the 2025 JAMB result with a minimum score of 160.

According to the Board, the submission of applications will close on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, and all entries are to be submitted at the Borno State Scholarships Board office in Maiduguri.

The Board said that all candidates who meet the requirements would undergo an aptitude test on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at the ICT Centre, Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

It advised applicants to come with their original JAMB score slips and other original documents for verification during the test.

The Board reiterated its commitment to supporting human capital development in the state, particularly in specialised fields that contribute to national growth.
