
A 20-year-old man has died following a violent clash during a naming ceremony in Warji Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The incident was revealed on Thursday in a post shared on X by a security analyst, Zagazola Makama.
According to Makama, the victim, identified as Haruna Haruna, a resident of Kwata village, sustained severe injuries after a dispute broke out among youths at the ceremony on December 2, 2025.
The disagreement reportedly escalated into a fight, leaving Haruna unconscious. He was rushed to the General Hospital in Warji, where he later died while receiving treatment.
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a suspect, Gambo Yobe, also 20 years old, in connection with the incident.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the altercation and the suspect’s role is currently underway.
