Kefas appoints Mustapha Acting CMD of Taraba Specialist Hospital

Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has approved the appointment of Dr Mustapha Muhammed as the Acting Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Taraba State Specialist Hospital, Jalingo.

The appointment followed the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing CMD, Dr Alex Maiangwa, who formally handed over to his successor on Tuesday.

The handover ceremony marked the official transition of leadership at the hospital, in line with established public service rules and procedures guiding tenure in public office.

Stakeholders commended Governor Kefas for his timely intervention and adherence to due process in appointing a new head for the state-owned tertiary health facility, noting that the decision would ensure continuity and stability in the hospital’s administration.

Dr Mustapha Muhammed was wished success in the discharge of his new responsibilities, while Dr Maiangwa was lauded for his service to the institution and wished well in his future endeavours.

The appointment underscores the Taraba State Government’s commitment to orderly leadership transition, institutional integrity and improved healthcare delivery for residents of the state.
