Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of Mr Ibrahim Abubakar Dule as the substantive Statistician-General of the state.
The approval was conveyed by the Head of Civil Service, Muazu Shehu, who said the appointment was made in line with Section 208(2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Shehu stated that Dule, who had been serving in an acting capacity, was confirmed based on his commendable and results-driven performance.
In a related development, the governor also approved the appointment of Mr Zakari Isa Kwami as the substantive Surveyor-General of the state.
Kwami had served in acting capacity since late 2025 following the retirement of his predecessor, Mr Zakari Abubakar Difa, and was also credited with strong performance in the role.
Both appointments take effect from Oct. 6, 2025.
Yahaya charged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by demonstrating professionalism, integrity and commitment to duty.
He emphasised the importance of accurate data management, effective planning and proper land administration in driving sustainable development across the state.
The governor further urged them to bring innovation, efficiency and accountability to their respective offices.
