Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn in 50 Development Area Administrators across the 21 local government areas of Adamawa, with a charge on them to stimulate development at the grassroot level.
The oath of office was administered on the fifty development area administrators by the state commissioner for justice and Attorney general Barrister Afraimu Jingi at the event held in the Government House, Yola, Monday.
Governor Umaru Fintiri said their appointment is a deliberate attempt to stimulate good governance, urging them to work in tandem with the fresh air change mantra “Nobody is left behind and Nothing is left untouched”.
Represented by his Deputy, Prof Kaletapwa Farauta, the Governor tasked the sole administrators to work in synergy with other stakeholders at local and state levels to ensure delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.While advising them to abide by the oath taken, Governor Fintiri warned them against any act that may hinder them from delivering on their mandate, hinged on influencing needed change and development.
In his vote of thanks on behalf of the sole administrators, Emmanuel Dauda thanked the executive and legislative arm of government for finding them worthy of the task.
He pledged their loyalty, support and commitment to key into the change mantra of the fresh air administration by championing people oriented policies and programs, thereby ensuring the security and well being of their people.
