The Adamawa chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has named Alhaji Kabiru Akilu as the substantive party chairman for Mubi North local government area. This decision follows the unfortunate passing of the former chairman, Alhaji Usman Isah-Sarkin Mudu.
Malam Mohammed Abdullahi, the party’s spokesperson, confirmed the unanimous endorsement of Akilu’s appointment by the State Working Committee of the party. He emphasized that the appointment was made in recognition of Akilu’s capabilities.
State party chairman, Alhaji Idris Shuaibu, urged the new chairman to uphold discipline, obedience, and respect for the party’s rules. He expressed expectations for Akilu to leverage his experience in fostering unity and solidarity among party members.
Furthermore, Shuaibu commended the National Security Adviser (NSA) Malam Nuhu Ribadu and the Minister of Education Prof Tahir Mamman for their consistent support to the party, acknowledging their exceptional dedication.
Upon taking the Oath of allegiance and office, the new LGA chairman pledged unwavering loyalty to the party and committed to inclusive leadership, aiming to bring all party members together under one shade.
