The Adamawa State Government has announced restrictions on movement in the state ahead of the local government election scheduled for July 13, 2024.
According to a statement released by the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), on Thursday, all markets, motor parks, and recreation centers will remain closed on election day, while movement will be restricted from 8am to 3pm, except for essential service providers.
The statement directed security agencies to ensure strict enforcement of the directive, to ensure a peaceful and orderly conduct of the election.
Essential service providers, including security personnel, health workers, and election officials, are exempt from the restriction.
