Troops Rescue Pregnant Woman, Children from Boko Haram Captivity

Troops of the Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI on Monday announced the rescue of a pregnant woman, Ihyi Abdu, who had been held captive by Boko Haram terrorists for over ten years. Two of her children were also freed in the operation, bringing the total number of rescued individuals to nineteen.

In a separate operation, troops of the Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI rescued 330 women and children along the Bama and Pulka axis in Borno State.

The rescued individuals are currently receiving medical attention and counseling to help them reintegrate into society. The military has assured that efforts are ongoing to rescue more captives and bring an end to the terrorist group’s activities in the region.
