The Bauchi state government has declared that it will not allow the planned Nationwide Protest to take place in the state.
Secretary to the Government of Bauchi state, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, made this announcement on Thursday during a press conference at the government house.
Kashim stated that the government is not aware of nor welcoming the idea of holding any protest in the state and warned those planning to protest to reconsider. He emphasized that the government will not tolerate anything that could lead to a breakdown of law and order.
Additionally, Kashim dismissed rumors that Primary Health Care Centres would be closed down across the state to prevent vandalism by protesters, describing the information as false. He assured that all Primary Healthcare Centers and public institutions in the state will remain open.
