Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno, representing Northern Borno Senatorial District, has disbursed N37.5 million to 750 constituents as part of an empowerment program aimed at mitigating the economic impact of the Boko Haram insurgency in the region.
The three-day capacity-building training, conducted in collaboration with the Center for Management Development (CMD), focused on the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in driving economic growth.
Addressing participants at the closing ceremony on Saturday, Alhaji Kalla Maina Monguno, APC deputy state party chairman, emphasized the significance of ICT in youth development. “ICT capacity-building training and empowerment are crucial for unlocking the potential of young people, promoting sustainable development, economic growth, and social progress,” he stated.
Monguno urged beneficiaries to utilize the N50,000 starter packages productively, saying, “I strongly encourage you to make use of the package received positively. Wish you all the best.”
