Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on friday joined his Taraba State counterpart, Kefas Agbu, in Jalingo to commission the newly remodeled and reconstructed government house, named after General Theophilus Danjuma (rtd). The structure, now called TY Danjuma House, has been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
During the ceremony, General Danjuma, the guest of honor, expressed his hope that the remodeled government house would be a blessing to the people and government of Taraba State.
He also commended Governor Agbu for his developmental efforts and prayed for peace and progress across the nation.
In his welcome address, Taraba State Deputy Governor Aminu Abdullahi Alkali praised the project as a reflection of democracy’s value and Governor Agbu’s commitment to governance and development.
Alkali emphasized that the project symbolizes stability, progress, and unity in Taraba State. He also acknowledged TY Danjuma’s dedication to the state’s development and the hard work of the project team.
The remodeling of the TY Danjuma House includes a governor’s residence, ten offices for special advisers, three security gates, a banquet hall, a guest house, a fire service station, a technology complex, and other modern facilities. Additionally, armored vehicles for the army and operational vehicles for the fire service were commissioned.
The event was attended by former governors, deputy governors, and dignitaries such as former Minister of Information, Professor Jerry Gana.
