Adamawa Speaker, Lamido Commend FUDECO for Promoting Peaceful Coexistence

Adamawa State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, has commended the Fulbe Development and Cultural Organisation (FUDECO) for promoting unity and peaceful coexistence in the state.

Wesley made the commendation at the National Pulaaku Day celebration organised by FUDECO on Saturday, 12 october 2024 in Yola.

Lamido Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, represented by Prof. Abubakar Abba Tahir, urged Fulani people to acquire Islamic and Western education for success.

FUDECO Chairman, Adamawa chapter, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed, said the Day is celebrated on October 12 annually, recognised by UNESCO.

Highlights of the event included peace lectures, display of Fulbe cultural heritage, poetry rendition, and presentation of books to nomadic schools.
