PDP North-East Zone Passes Vote of Confidence in Governors

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) North-East Zone has passed a vote of confidence in its governors, urging them to continue providing dividends of democracy to the people.

The decision was reached at a meeting of the Zonal Working Committee and State Chairmen held at the Bauchi Zonal Office.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the party reflected on its 16-year rule as a blessing to the nation and recognized its dominance in the North-East since 1999.

The communiqué reads in part: “The meeting acknowledged the unparalleled infrastructural development by PDP governors in their respective states and urged them not to relent.”

The party also aligned itself with the position of governors, Board of Trustees, National Assembly Caucus and other stakeholders on the national chairmanship tussle.

Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, was appreciated for facilitating the meeting.

The meeting was attended by state chairmen and other stakeholders from Adamawa, Bauchi, and Taraba states.
