Zik Annual Award: Zulum Nominated Guest Speaker, to Deliver Keynote Lecture

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has been nominated to serve as a special guest of honour and a keynote speaker at the 5th edition of the annual Dr Nnamdi Azikwe Award Lecture.

The event, which is scheduled to be held on the 16th of November, 2024, at Zik Hall of the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja, will focus on “The Nigeria Governance Model, Prosperity & Prospective.”

In a nomination letter sent to the governor titled “REQUEST TO BE OUR SPECIAL GUEST AND KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT THIS YEAR’S 5TH EDITION OF DR NNAMDI AZIKWE’S ANNUAL AWARD LECTURE,” Dr Chief Chineme Onyeke, the Director-General (DG) of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe Annual Lecture/Merit Award noted that AZIKIWE’s ANNUAL AWARD LECTURES SERIES has its objectives, among others, to promote National Integration and Unity of Nigeria as espoused by ZIK and also to give awards to outstanding Nigerians and Institutions.

Part of the content in the letter reads, “With utmost respect, Your Excellency, we invite you with honour to be our Special Guest and a Keynote Speaker at this year’s 5th Edition of DR. NNAMDI AZIKIWE ANNUAL AWARD LECTURE, organised annually to honour and celebrate the foremost Pan-Africanist and the First Indigenous President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, RT. HON. DR. NNAMDI AZIKIWE, GCFR, Owelle of Onitsha.”

“Sir, in the objective judgment of the NEC and BoT, you are considered one of the most important transformational governors not only in Borno State but the whole country.
It’s, therefore, our honour and privilege to nominate Your Excellency for the Keynote Speech.”

“We will be happily looking forward to welcoming your esteemed presence at the Award Ceremony with your Govt Officials, friends and political Associates.
May we, with utmost humility and honour, state here with pride, that Your Excellency has once, (about 2 years ago), received our Award on Security Management.”

It can be recalled that Zulum will also feature as a lead speaker at the Qatar Security Conference in Doha, Qatar, in December this year.
