Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Friday Friday Commissioned the Pilot Ranch Project of the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP).
According to Muhammad B. Tukur, SSA New Media to the Governor, the programme was held at Gongoshi Grazing Reserve in Mayo Belwa Local Government Area.
Speaking at the event, Governor Umaru Fintiri will address the farmer-herder clashes among other challenges.
He added that the government established the State Livestock Transformation Office (SLTO) to key into the activities of NLTP.
Governor Fintiri expresses the hope that the pilot project will be reflected in other parts of the state.
The Coordinator of the State Livestock Transformation Office (SLTO), Professor Ambrose Voh said the project will settle herders in one place.
The Village Head of Dikon, Alhaji Ardo Bamanga thanked Governor Fintiri for providing
support to herders in the state.
Among the dignitaries that attend the program are SSG Barrister Auwal Tukur, Chief of Staff Dr Edgar Amos, Commissioners among others
