Adamawa State Government has assured its support for the takeoff of the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi. The university aims to cater to the growing number of applicants seeking admission.
Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta pledged the state’s support on Wednesday during a visit by the council members of the proposed institution to her office. She emphasized that the state would support any development the federal government brings to the state, particularly those benefiting the children of Adamawa ¹.
Farauta urged the federal government to complete the Yola-Mubi road, which connects the state to Cameroon. Dr. Rukaiyatu Gurin, Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of the university, noted that the team is working to establish all necessary resources and facilities as prescribed by the National University Commission (NUC).
Gurin also highlighted the poor condition of existing classrooms and laboratories at the proposed site, requesting state government intervention. The Adamawa State Government has demonstrated its commitment to education and development, with initiatives such as the inauguration of the Governing Council of Adamawa State University, Mubi, earlier this year.
