The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Bauchi State Branch, has elected new officials to run its affairs for the next four years.
The election took place at the 8th Quadrennial State Delegate Conference, 2024, in Bauchi.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected State President of NULGE, Comrade Muhammad Yunusa, promised to run the union with integrity and transparency.
He assured that his leadership would prioritize the welfare of local government staff in Bauchi State.
“We will apply new strategies to ensure the full welfare of our members,” Comrade Yunusa said. “And we shall work tirelessly to promote the interests of local government staff in Bauchi State”, he added.
Governor Bala Muhammad, represented by the Secretary to the State Government Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, assured that his administration would continue to support local government activities to promote a sense of belonging.
“We will continue to support local government staff in Bauchi State. We believe that local government staff play a critical role in the development of our state”, Governor Muhammad said.”
The ALGON Bauchi State Chairman, Muhmud Babamaji Abubakar, also acknowledged the cordial relationship between the local government chairmen and NULGE, while soliciting for more collaboration.
“We appreciate the cooperation between local government chairmen and NULGE,” Chairman Abubakar said. “We look forward to continued collaboration in the interest of local government staff in Bauchi State.”
