The Director General of the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA), Dr. Michael Zira, has received the report on the curriculum developed for the ten Technical Skills Training Centres (TSTC) established across Adamawa State.
The report was formally presented to the DG at the agency’s headquarters in Yola by the five-man committee responsible for the assignment, co-chaired by Engr. Mai Gana and Mr. Sidney Esthon.
Dr. Zira, while receiving the document, commended the committee for delivering on its mandate ahead of the stipulated time frame. He described the submission as a critical milestone in the agency’s drive to empower youths through technical and vocational training.
“This curriculum will be reviewed every three years to reflect evolving industry standards and ensure the relevance of our training programmes,” Zira said.
He assured that with the document now ready, the agency would expedite preparations for the take-off of training activities, giving prospective trainees the opportunity to acquire market-driven skills.
Speaking on behalf of the committee, Engr. Gana thanked PAWECA for entrusting them with the task and expressed satisfaction with the quality and timeliness of the report’s completion.
“We are confident that this curriculum will serve as a solid foundation for impactful skill acquisition in the state,” he added.
