
Tragedy struck in Chirokusko village, Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State, as a 17-year-old boy, Abdulra’uf Abdullahi, was allegedly stabbed to death by his father during a domestic dispute.
According to a post by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X (formerly Twitter), the incident occurred at about 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9.
Makama stated that the suspect, identified as Danga Shiru Wanzam, allegedly stabbed his son in the chest with a knife following an argument. The exact cause of the disagreement remains unclear at the time of reporting.
Police operatives who responded to the distress call reportedly evacuated the victim to the General Hospital in Babbangida, where a medical officer on duty confirmed that Abdulra’uf was brought in dead.
The Yobe State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the suspect, who fled the scene immediately after the attack.
Efforts to reach the police spokesperson for further comment were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
