Gov. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State on Friday received a delegation from China Fuhai Energy Group, who were in the state to explore investment opportunities in key sectors.
The delegation, led by Sun Jin Can, expressed interest in energy development, mineral resources, and pharmaceuticals, among others.
Sun said the company was ready to employ local workers, build schools and healthcare facilities, as well as establish water and gas plants to support the state’s development agenda.
He explained that plans were underway to set up an industrial park in Bauchi, and solicited the cooperation of the state government to facilitate the project.
Responding, Mohammed said the visit was in line with his administration’s resolve to attract meaningful investments into Bauchi.
He stressed that the state was endowed with natural and mineral resources, adding that his government was determined to harness them for sustainable socio-economic growth.
The governor assured the Chinese firm of his administration’s full support to ensure the successful take-off of their operations.
