
The Adamawa State Police Command is appealing to members of the public for assistance in reuniting a young girl found wandering with her family.
The child, identified as Fatima Abdulhamid, was found on Monday, September 27, 2025, in the Anguwan Zango area of Jimeta, in Yola North Local Government Area.
According to information provided by the Police Command, Fatima is approximately 10 years old, of Hausa ethnicity, and hails from Katirji, Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. She is of fair complexion.
Fatima stated that her mother’s name is Zainab, while her father is late.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, ANIPR, urged anyone with relevant information that could assist in locating the child’s relatives to come forward.
“This is a humanitarian appeal. We are calling on members of the public to help us trace her family so she can be reunited with her loved ones,” SP Nguroje said.
