Adamawa Approves N8.5bn Projects for Healthcare, Infrastructure

The Adamawa State Executive Council has on Wednesday approved two major projects worth N8.5 billion to boost healthcare and infrastructure development.

A statement by Muhammad B. Tukur, New Media aide to the Governor, said the projects include the installation of 30KVA hybrid solar systems in six cottage hospitals at N431.6 million.

The hospitals are located in Shelleng, Guyuk, Demsa, Lamurde, Gombi, and Furore local government areas, with a two-month completion period.

The council also approved N8.1 billion for the construction of two bridges along the Mubi-Maiduguri federal highway.

The project is divided into two lots: Shuwa Bridge (N5.6 billion) and Hyambula Bridge (N2.5 billion), to be completed within six months.

– Collaboration between federal and state ministries of health for “Project 10 Million” to screen 10 million Nigerians for high blood pressure and diabetes
