Adamawa Assembly Passes Bill to Create More Districts

Adamawa State House of Assembly has on wednesday passed a bill for a law to repeal and re-enact the Adamawa State Districts Creation Law, 2024.

The passage of the bill followed the consideration and adoption of the report of House Standing Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs headed by Hon. Kefas Calvin (Toungo).

The Majority Leader of the assembly, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno (Demsa constituency) moved a motion for the 3rd reading of the bill and seconded by Hon. Suleiman Alkali of Yola North.

After the passage, the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, directed the Clerk to prepare clean copy of the bill for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s assent.
