Adamawa State House of Assembly on Thursday, passed the sum of N55,256,595, 280.00 supplementary budget for the services of the state in 2024 which include statutory expenditure.
The passage of the supplementary budget followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the Committee of Supply on Wednesday.
The Hon. Members passed the bill on Thursday, sequel to a motion for its 3rd reading by the Majority Leader, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno (Demsa) and seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Umar Alkali (Yola North).
After the 3rd reading of the bill, the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, directed the clerk to the assembly to prepare a clean copy of the bill for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s assent.
With the passage of the supplementary budget, the current budget for the services of Adamawa State is N281.1billion if put together with the 2024 budget being implemented which was passed and assented to by Fintiri.
It could be recalled that the assembly in December, 2023 passed the whooping N225.8billion proposed budget estimate for the services of the state in 2024, and assented to it by Governor Fintiri.
