The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission on Thursday commenced the Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination for shortlisted applicants seeking employment into the state civil service.
The exercise, which is being held across various designated centres in Yola and other local government areas, drew thousands of candidates from different parts of the state.
Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Maiha, who monitored the commencement of the exams, described the process as smooth and transparent, noting that the CBT format aligns with global best practices.
“The adoption of the CBT system is to ensure a credible and merit-driven recruitment process, devoid of favoritism and manipulation,” Maiha said.
He commended candidates for their orderly conduct and urged them to approach the examination with seriousness and integrity, adding that only qualified and competent individuals would be considered for final selection.
Maiha also expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his continued support towards revitalizing the civil service and creating employment opportunities for the youth.
According to the Commission, the exercise will continue in batches over the coming days, with adequate arrangements made for security and logistics to ensure a hitch-free process.
Applicants have been advised to check their emails and phone messages regularly for updates on their examination dates and venues.
