Adamawa CP Conducts Confidence-building Patrol In Lamurde After Attacks

The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, on Thursday embarked on a confidence-building patrol in Rigange and Waduku communities of Lamurde Local Government Area following recent attacks by hoodlums.

The police said the move was aimed at restoring calm and preventing further escalation of violence after suspected hoodlums set fire to several thatched huts in the affected communities.

In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Commissioner visited the scene to assess the level of destruction and assured residents that the perpetrators would be tracked down and brought to justice.

“CP Dankombo Morris vowed that the police will decisively deal with the perpetrators and their collaborators in accordance with the law,” the statement said.

The police commissioner also appealed to residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by reporting any suspicious activities or individuals.

He assured that adequate security personnel had been deployed to the area to maintain law and order.
