Adamawa CP Orders Probe Into Alleged Armed Robbery in Ngurore

The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered an immediate investigation into an alleged armed robbery attack on a POS operator in the Ngurore community of Yola South Local Government Area.

The directive followed a report lodged by family members of the victim, Mr. Akwarakiram Abel, 25, who was said to have been attacked in his residence at Sabon Pegi, Ngurore, in the early hours of Friday.

According to the complaint, unidentified armed men invaded the house between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., assaulted the victim, and carted away his belongings. The attackers also reportedly inflicted serious injuries on him during the incident.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Commissioner assured that the Criminal Investigation Department has been tasked with conducting a thorough inquiry aimed at apprehending the culprits.

Morris reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state and urged residents to continue cooperating with security agencies to enhance public safety.

The Police Command further assured the public of improved patrols, intelligence gathering, and community partnership to curb criminal activities in all parts of Adamawa.
