Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by Deputy Governor Prof Kaletapwa G. Farauta, on Tuesday officially inaugurated the cultural rehearsals in Adamawa State in preparation for the upcoming Northeast Trade Fair set to be held in Bauchi in 2024.
The governor expressed unwavering support for the event and pledged to provide all necessary assistance to ensure its resounding success. He urged the contingents to serve as exemplary ambassadors of their ethnic groups and the state as a whole.
Babadoke Aloysius, Chairman of Adamawa State Commissioners Forum and Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, expressed gratitude to the governor for his steadfast support for the culture sector in the state.
He assured the governor of their dedication to achieving the administration’s objectives. The event was graced by members of the state executive council and other dignitaries.
The cultural rehearsals featured captivating displays of various traditional dances, culminating in the presentation of certificates to the winners.
The Paramount Ruler of Mbula Kingdom, Murum Mbula Bwaltan Bentley Biyapo Mboiman, hailed the event as unprecedented in the state’s history. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, led by Chief Babadoke Aloysius and his team, received accolades for their diligence and perseverance in organizing the event.
