Adamawa: Fintiri Brokers Peace Between Dangote Sugar Refinery and Host Communities

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has initiated proactive measures to address the long-standing disputes between Dangote Sugar Refinery and its host communities, announcing a lasting solution following a closed-door meeting with stakeholders.

The state government will engage with the communities to communicate expected outcomes from the company, focusing on incorporation into company programs, infrastructure development, access roads, health and education sectors, and poverty reduction measures.

Governor Fintiri underscored the importance of intervention, citing its impact on citizens’ fortunes, youth employment, and improved living standards. Key issues addressed included wealth creation, infrastructure development, and collaborative efforts to enhance sugar production.
