Adamawa: Fintiri Sends Warm Wishes To Citizens, Says Our Best Days Are Still Ahead

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Adamawa and Nigerians as the world welcomes a new year.

Governor Fintiri who noted the tremendous achievements In the past year in infrastructure development, healthcare, education, security, human capital development and Agriculture, he said the cooperation of citizens of the State helped in laying the foundation for a more prosperous state.

“Our strength as a state, and indeed a Nation lies in our unity. Together, we have faced challenges and conquered, emerging stronger. Our government with great zest has strived to deliver needed services to its people within available resources.”

The Governor also used the opportunity to commend the support and cooperation of the people during and after the race to 2023 elections.

“Our journey to this victory faced obstacles, but your resilience prevailed. You maintained peace amid provocation, showcasing restraint and civility. Even amidst adversity during the election process, you upheld decorum. For this, I’m immensely grateful.”

“As we approach a new year, I enjoin us to go on with a spirit that gives support so that as we journey towards progress, no one is left behind and nothing is left untouched.”

He said In 2024, the people must be set to embrace the opportunities the year brings; supporting and praying for the government to succeed on the 8-point agenda it is set out to achieve. “Let our actions be guided by compassion, understanding, and a commitment to the common good of our state and nation in general.”

While congratulating the citizenry for witnessing the end of 2023 and the beginning of another year, Governor Fintiri expressed hope that the people can pursue opportunity and success, he wished them happiness, prosperity, and good health and fortune in the year 2024.

“In the coming year, let our cultural diversity add colour to us as a people as we encourage mutual respect celebrating and cherishing the traditions and religions that bind us as one people.”
