Adamawa Governor Commission’s Remodeled Taraba House Of Assembly

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has joined his Taraba State counterpart to commission the remodeled edifice of the Taraba state House of Assembly complex.

In his address during the event on Wednesday, the Governor who is the special guest of honor at the occasion expressed delight that each time he is in Taraba State is to witness a milestone in the  developments achieved by Governor Kefas Agbu.

Governor Fintiri said democracy is beyond voting, it is also the  provision of an enabling environment for the development of the people.

He said the roles of the arms of government must be complimenting at all times and be respectful of each other for democracy to strive and  benefit the people.

He congratulated the speaker of the  house of Assembly and all  legislative members for their continuous dedication to serve the people of the state.

In his welcome address, the speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, John kizito Bonzena said the edifice which was constructed during the military regime has been fully utilized during various administrations.

He said the decision for the remodelling of the complex became necessary as the governor wanted to ensure a befitting structure, conduct trainings and workshops for the law makers to have a conducive atmosphere to carry out their constitutional duties.

He also praised the governor for clearing all the years long outstanding benefits of the staff of the assembly.

As he thanked governor Fintiri of Adamawa State for his mentorship to the people of Taraba, he assured that the assembly will continue to work with the governor for the development of the state.

Giving an insight on the project, the  contractor  Osike Itsagwede said the remodeled house of Assembly complex which is a testament of the vision of developing  the state by the  Governor is a project of higher standard which was successfully completed with the  collaboration of  the state house of Assembly and its management.

Meanwhile In her vote of thanks, the Clark , Taraba State House of Assembly, Mrs Salmuna Amos Sani noted that the legislative arm of the state government has been grateful to the governor for maintaining a good relationship that  has helped in the capacity building of the state legislature, an evidence that the  governor is prepared to do more for the development of state.
