Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has called on youths in Adamawa to embrace the acquisition of digital skills created by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, emphasizing its potential to better the state.
Speaking at the 2-day Youth Summit on ICT skills, held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yola on Wednesday, Governor Fintiri encouraged youths to commit to innovation, continuous learning, and progress, and to collaborate with one another to build a prosperous Adamawa for future generations.
The summit, convened by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Empowerment, Safrat Dungus, aimed to empower youths and shape their future.
Safrat Dungus reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that all youths, regardless of background, religion, social status, or party affiliation, have the opportunity to contribute to the state’s progress.
The event, themed “Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders,” was attended by youths from across the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.
Governor Fintiri commended the participants’ eagerness to acquire new skills, noting that it demonstrated their determination to succeed and contribute to the state’s development. He emphasized that his administration has always prioritized youths in its programs and projects, particularly in education and entrepreneurship.
