
The Adamawa State Government has taken a major step toward ending the lingering water scarcity in Jada Local Government Area with the official handover of the Jada Water Project to the contractor for execution.
The ceremony, held on Thursday, was led by Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar, who was accompanied by the Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Audu Ayuba Tanko. The event drew thousands of Jada residents who expressed joy and appreciation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises.
Residents described Governor Fintiri as a “talk and do” leader, praising his administration for prioritising projects that directly improve the welfare of the people.
Speaking during the ceremony, Sardaunan Ganye II expressed optimism that the project would provide a lasting solution to the long-standing water shortage that has plagued Jada and its environs.
Prominent community leaders in attendance included the Chairman of Jada Local Government Council, the District Head of Jada/Mukaddas Ganye, and other senior government officials.
The official handover of the project marks a significant milestone in the Fintiri administration’s efforts to enhance access to safe and potable water across Adamawa communities.
