Adamawa Govt Secures $4.4m Grant From Japanese Government via JICA

The Adamawa State Government has successfully secured a 2-year USD 4.4 million grant from the Japanese government through the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The grant, witnessed by the Executive Chairman of Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir, aims to implement the project titled “Strengthening basic health care services delivery for internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees & host communities.

” This initiative will focus on reconstructing/renovating Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities, providing essential equipment and infrastructure, training healthcare workers to deliver quality services, and enhancing community involvement in health and peacebuilding activities across eight implementing Local Government Areas.

Acknowledging the foresight and purposeful leadership of Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Governor of Adamawa State, for fostering an enabling environment that facilitates effective partnerships and mobilizes crucial resources for the state’s development.
