The Adamawa State Government has warned people against indiscriminate Bush-burning close to residential areas during dry season.
The State Deputy Governor, Prof kaletapwa Farauta gave the warning when she visited the scene of fire outbreak around Federal College of Education (FCE) Yola where ten shops have engulfed in flames Saturday afternoon.
According to the victims, the inferno may be connected to bush burning in the area.
Though, no life was lost, but the fire outbreak has destroyed valuables, leaving the shop owners counting their loses.
On receiving the news, Deputy Governor Farauta rushed to the scene to have first hand information about the inferno and sympathized with the victims.
Prof Farauta urged the victims not to worry over the incident but rather see it as an act of God.
A victim Mercy Paul, narrated her ordeal, testifying that the fire emanated behind their shops.
