
The Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to initiatives that will drive sustainable development and improve the lives of its citizens.
She made the remarks at the Engagement Seminar and Interaction Program organized by the Office of the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Mobilization. The event, held on Saturday at the Banquet Hall of Government House in Yola, brought together key stakeholders from across the state.
With the theme “Adamawa Year of Service and Our Role in the Nigeria First Project,” the seminar provided a platform to discuss critical issues shaping the state’s future under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
In her address, Farauta commended Governor Fintiri’s dedication to youth and women empowerment, stressing the need for collective action to build a prosperous society. She called on leaders at all levels to embrace bold and people-focused governance, while encouraging women to take advantage of available skill development opportunities to uplift their communities.
Dr. Victor Dogo, Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Mobilization and convener of the event, highlighted the governor’s efforts in promoting inclusive governance. He described the gathering as a call to action, urging participants to carry the seminar’s message into their communities and workplaces.
Pharm. Shehu Isa Ardo, the Head of Service, also praised the government’s developmental strides, emphasizing the role of women in societal progress. Chief Leonard D. Nzadon, in his keynote address, reiterated the administration’s commitment to youth and women empowerment through various state-led initiatives.
The seminar was attended by members of the State Executive and Legislative Councils, heads of government ministries, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders. A meritorious award was presented to the First Lady of Adamawa State, Hajiya Lami Umaru Fintiri, and other dignitaries for their contributions to state and national development.
