The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made a sweeping victory in the local government election organized by Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission on Saturday.
Declaring the result on Sunday, the ADSIEC chairman, Mohammed Umar said the PDP has won all the 21 chairmanship seats and 225 councillorship seats in the state.
According the chairman, the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) won one councillorship seat in Demsa local government area.
He announced that the commission will present certificates of return to the winners of the election on Monday.
