The Adamawa State Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development has commenced preparations for the next phase of student enrolment across its technical skills acquisition centres in the state.
As part of the preparation, the Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Hammanjuba Gatugel, on Tuesday, led a team to inspect the Yola Technical Skills Acquisition Centre.
This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Yola by the Ministry’s Director of Entrepreneurship, Mr Ibrahim Usman.
Gatugel said the inspection was aimed at assessing the level of readiness of the facility ahead of the new intake of students.
He explained that the visit was in line with the state government’s ongoing efforts to promote youth and women empowerment through vocational and technical education.
According to the commissioner, ensuring that the centres are adequately equipped and operational is essential for effective learning and the success of the initiative.
He said the inspection also aligns with the broader vision of the government to enhance self-reliance and reduce unemployment through sustainable skills development programmes.
“The Ministry remains committed to ensuring that all ten technical and vocational centres across the state are functional and ready for enrolment,” he said.
Gatugel added that the state government would continue to invest in human capital development as a tool for community transformation and economic growth.
